There’s no way around it, Brisbane is a beautiful, hot city. It defines everything that’s great about Australia, and what’s more, it’s actually rather cheap compared to the other big two; Melbourne and Sydney. Okay, so there’s not an awful lot of history in Brisbane, don’t say this in front of the locals, but it’s a really cool city to stay at, whether that’s short term or long term. Brisbane is the city with a river running through it, and though beaches are 45 minutes away, you don’t go there for a spot of snorkeling, or deep sea diving. You will have to travel further up or down the coast for that. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, pizza huts and bars, while spectacular views are second to none, and the great thing about Brisbane is that you’re always guarenteed sunshine.
