The Best Christmas Markets in Europe

There’s nothing more jolly than a Christmas market. The smell of mulled wine, hot chocolate, mince pies and hot dogs is in the air, people are wrapped up in hats, coats and scarves, while dazzling lights set the perfect backdrop.

Each stall offers something a little bit different and each city has its own way of putting together a Christmas market. To get you in the mood, here’s our top two:

Brussels – Yes the Belgians know a thing or two about Christmas, and Brussels doesn’t disappoint. There’s hundreds of stalls, a huge ferris wheel and medieval style shops. A perfect match for the cobbled streets.

Zagreb – This one has to be experienced. It seems to get bigger and bigger each and every year, with lanterns being lit and lifted into the air. It’s a magical experience, and you’re bound to come away with some stunning photographs.
