When travelling to Ireland either for a holiday or business trip it is advised that you take your passport with you. Although you do not need your passport to enter the country you may be asked to show photographic ID and prove your nationality. Many airlines and transport companies won’t carry people to and from Ireland unless they have seen suitable photographic ID.

As with any trip, you should always make sure you have adequate medical and travel insurance to cover you and remember if you are likely to be doing extreme sports or activates it is best to double check with your insurance company if you will be covered.
