Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is situated in Brisbane, Australia and it’s the oldest koala sanctuary in the world. There are thousands of koalas cared for by the Lone Pine team and it really does make for a nice day trip. At Lone Pine you can follow in the footsteps of many celebrities such as Ed Sheeran, Janet Jackson and Jimmy Carr, hugging koalas and getting your picture as a special memory. Koalas are very docile so there isn’t anything to be afraid of whilst they’ve been trained to be very gentle when being held. In addition to koala, Lone Pine is also home to kangaroo, fox bat, dingo and Tasmanian devil. If you visit the kangaroo park, you should be sure to buy some pellets to feed them, but don’t forget to bring your camera because there will be lots of fantastic pictures to take.
