A typical backpacker may spend time in Thailand, Australia, Singapore and Burma among other hot countries, and if we use these as a general rule of thumb, these are the clothes you’re going to need.
Swimwear
There’s always going to be time to take advantage of beautiful blue waters and you have to be at the ready. We recommend you wear swimwear underneath a normal pair of shorts, and it means you’re good to go whenever you fancy, whilst you dry off relatively fast.
T-shirts and Vests
T-shirts and vests will become rather disposable on your travels, and that’s fine because they can be picked up at really cheap prices. There’s not enough room to fill your backpack up with loads of t-shirts, so by staying light and replacing old shirts with new ones you can save a lot of space in your bag.
Long trousers
Long trousers are needed if you’re going to be visiting religious monuments but you want something light and comfy, then there are plenty of options to choose between. If you’ve not heard of ‘temple pants’, they’re essentially just that. They’re light, usually patterned, and similar in style to the pants worn by MC Hammer. They really cheap to buy and they’re a must have souvenir for backpackers.
