The problem with booking flights too early

It’s all well and good to book your flights in advance, but if you’re doing it more than 6 months in advance, you may run into problems. Anything can happen in that time. You may break your leg, lose your job, get made redundant or become seriously ill.

Most airline providers will not give you a refund if you choose to cancel your flights, and depending on where you’re flying to, this could result in a huge loss of money. The main reason people tend to book their flights so early is because they fear all the scheduled flights will be fully booked if they leave it too late, but this isn’t usually the case. Another reason is to save money, but the amount you save may not be that significant, and it can be a lot safer to book your flight later!
