Recently my girlfriend went on holiday without me, I did not mind one bit. Even when she announced she was going to Magaluf I had no issue, and even when she told me what friends she was going with I, again, had no issues at all. I don’t mind these things, I’m pretty easy going, but then there’s a whole host of other issues that arose from this holiday – though that probably has less to do with the holiday than the person involved.
So do you go abroad separately with friends? Trust that your partner will not do anything ridiculous, stupid or put themselves in unnecessary danger. Or do you go together? Run the risk of sulky girlfriends on holiday bringing the mood down? Or go as a group with your other half and, again, run the risk of having an entire holiday’s buzz killed by relationship issues. Option 4? Break up.
